Legislative Summary

To amend the charter of the South Central Connecticut Water Authority to (1) allow the authority to conduct noncore business outside the state, (2) increase the compensation to members, (3) increase the membership from five to seven, (4) adjust meeting and quorum requirements, (5) allow for the reduction of late charges to users, (6) increase the ability of the authority to conduct certain repairs without a vote of the members, (7) require the public posting of annual financial statements, and (8) alter the terms concerning the issue or acquisition of certain bonds of the authority.
