H0689: Workers' Compensation Benefits for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder

Legislative Summary

Provides that time for specified notice in certain cases is measured from time of qualifying event or diagnosis of disorder, rather than manifestation of disorder, whichever is later; provides that posttraumatic stress disorder suffered by correctional officer is compensable occupation disease; provides standard of proof; provides requirements for benefits offered to correctional officer for posttraumatic stress disorder; specifies when claim for posttraumatic stress disorder must be noticed; requires certain employing agencies to provide certain educational training; requires DFS to adopt rules.
