S0564: Interchange Fees on Taxes
Legislative Summary
Prohibiting issuers, payment card networks, acquirer banks, and processors from receiving or charging merchants interchange fees on the tax amounts of electronic payment transactions if the merchant provides certain information in a specified manner; requiring an issuer to credit a merchant the amount of interchange fees on taxes within a certain timeframe if the merchant meets certain conditions; prohibiting specified actions relating to electronic payment transaction data by certain entities, etc.
