Legislative Summary

Requires articles or broadcasts be removed from Internet within specified period to limit damages for defamation; provides persons in certain positions relating to newspapers with immunity for defamation if such persons exercise due care to prevent utterance of such statement; provides venue for damages for defamation; provides for award of attorney fees & damages due to plaintiff's choice of venue in certain circumstances; provides for motion for veracity hearing in defamation or privacy tort action; provides that person who uses artificial intelligence to create or edit any form of media is subject to liability.
