S0774: Electronic Transmittal of Court Orders

Legislative Summary

Requiring the clerk of the court, within a certain timeframe after a court issues an ex parte order for involuntary commitment, to submit the order electronically to the sheriff or law enforcement agency in the county where the order is to be served; requiring the clerk of the court, within a certain timeframe after a certain summons is issued, to submit the summons electronically and, if applicable, a copy of the petition for involuntary services and a notice of the hearing to a law enforcement agency to effect service on certain persons, etc.
