Legislative Summary

Prohibits assessed value of real property used as homestead by person who has attained certain age from exceeding certain amount if certain conditions are met; requires such persons to apply for homestead in specified manner; requires property appraiser who makes certain determination to serve notice of intent to record tax lien against property; requires property that no longer meets certain eligibility requirements to be reassessed in specified manner.
