Legislative Summary

Requiring a sheriff to establish a school guardian program if a school board contracts for the use of security guards; requiring the Office of Safe Schools to convene a workgroup of specified entities; requiring the Department of Education, in cooperation with the Department of Management Services, to identify a centralized system for use by all public safety answering point infrastructure; requiring that a person who serves as a school security guard be approved by the sheriff, etc.
