A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Chapter 1 of Title 10 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to selling and other trade practices, so as to enact the "NO FAKES Act of 2025"; to protect intellectual property rights in the voice and visual likeness of individuals; to provide for the characteristics of a right to use the voice or visual likeness in a digital replica; to provide for licensing and transferability of a right; to require the Secretary of State to maintain a directory of designated agents; to provide for civil liability for the unauthorized use of a digital replica; to provide for penalties; to bar liability arising from retroactive application of this Act; to provide for definitions; to provide for an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
