A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Article 1 of Chapter 10 of Title 17 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to procedure for sentencing and imposition of punishment, so as to provide for limitations on bars to first offender treatment for certain minor offenders adjudicated as adults; to amend Article 3 of Chapter 8 of Title 42 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to first offenders, so as to provide for retroactive first offender treatment under certain circumstances for offenders who were adjudicated as minors; to revise sentencing laws in conflict with these provisions; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
