SB0067: NURSE AGENCY-CIVIL PENALTIES

Legislative Summary

Provides that the Department may at any time, and shall upon receiving a complaint from any interested person, investigate any nurse agency (instead of person) licensed or applying for a license under the Act suspected of violating any provision of the Act. Provides for a civil penalty of up to $10,000 (rather than a civil penalty of $10,000) per occurrence for a violation of the Act. Makes other changes. Effective immediately.
