HB1586: PERSONNEL CD-MERIT STANDARD

Legislative Summary

Amends the Personnel Code. In provisions regarding positions in the State service subject to the jurisdiction of the Department of Central Management Services with respect to selection and tenure on the basis of merit and fitness, provides that, unless prohibited by federal law, the administration of certain federal programs shall continue to be conducted by State employees subject to the Personnel Code. Makes a technical change to the classification of certain provisions as pertaining to merit and fitness.
