SB1612: PARK DIST - COMPETITIVE BIDS

Legislative Summary

Reinserts the provisions of the introduced bill with the following changes. Further modifies the thresholds for competitive bidding under the Park District Code, the Conservation District Act, and the Downstate Forest Preserve District Act. Provides that all contracts involving an expenditure in excess of $60,000 for supplies and materials and $30,000 for work, or a lower amount for supplies, material, or work if required by board policy, must be let to the lowest responsible bidder. Effective immediately.
