Create a new section of KRS Chapter 216 to define terms; direct the Cabinet for Health and Family Services (cabinet) to prohibit the direct or indirect use of state and federal funds for the practice of conversion therapy on minors; require state agencies to report providers engaged in conversion therapy efforts with a minor to the appropriate professional certification or licensing board; require the cabinet to update relevant policies and procedures to reflect the prohibition of conversion therapy on minors and to convey the dangers of conversion therapy to minors; require state agencies that regulate or pay for medical and mental health services to explore actions they can take to protect minors from conversion therapy; allow professional certification and licensing boards to discipline practitioners that engage in or refer minors for conversion therapy.
