Legislative Summary
An Act To Create New Section 25-11-126, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide That A Person Who Has At Least 25 Years Of Creditable Service In The Public Employees' Retirement System, Who Was Employed As A Public Schoolteacher At The Time Of Retirement And Who Has Been Retired And Receiving A Retirement Allowance For At Least One Year May Be Employed As A Teacher By Certain Public School Districts After Retirement And Receive A Retirement Allowance From The Public Employees' Retirement System During The Person's Employment As A Teacher In Addition To Receiving A Beginning Teacher's Salary; To Bring Forward Section 25-11-105, Mississippi Code Of 1972, For The Purpose Of Possible Amendments; To Amend Sections 25-11-123 And 25-11-127, Mississippi Code Of 1972, In Conformity To The Provisions Of This Act; To Bring Forward Sections 37-3-2 And 37-19-7, Mississippi Code Of 1972, For The Purpose Of Possible Amendments; And For Related Purposes.
