Legislative Summary

An Act To Amend Section 31-7-13, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Revise The Public Purchasing Law To Exempt Purchases Made By The Department Of Finance And Administration For The Renovation, Repair, Restoration Or Improvements To The State Capitol Building And Grounds Or Any Other Historical Buildings Or Sites Under The General Supervision And Care Of The Department That Are Dually Designated As Both A National Historic Landmark And A Mississippi Landmark; To Provide That This Exemption Shall Repeal On June 30, 2028; To Amend Section 27-104-7, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide That Purchases Made By The Department Of Finance And Administration For The Renovation, Repair, Restoration Or Improvements To The State Capitol Building And Grounds Or Any Other Historical Buildings Or Sites Under The General Supervision And Care Of The Department That Are Dually Designated As Both A National Historic Landmark And A Mississippi Landmark Shall Be Exempt From Review And Approval By The Public Procurement Review Board; To Provide That This Exemption Shall Repeal On June 30, 2028; And For Related Purposes.
