HB283: Prohibit driving while using electronic communications device
Legislative Summary
To amend sections 3321.141, 4507.11, 4508.02, 4510.036, 4511.043, 4511.204, and 4511.991 and to enact sections 4507.214, 4511.122, and 4511.992 of the Revised Code to expand the texting while driving prohibition to a general prohibition against using an electronic wireless communications device while driving, with certain exceptions, and to create data collection requirements based on associated violations of the distracted driving laws.
