SB1090: Relating to standards of time.

Legislative Summary

Abolishes annual one-hour change in time from standard time to daylight saving time and maintains Oregon on standard time for all 12 months of calendar year, except in portion of Oregon in Mountain Time Zone. Abolishes annual one-hour change in time from standard time to daylight saving time and maintains Oregon on standard time for all 12 months of calendar year, except in portion of Oregon in Mountain Time Zone. Further amends law to maintain Oregon on daylight saving time, except in portion of Oregon in Mountain Time Zone. Becomes operative at 2 a.m. on second Sunday of first March following enactment of changes in federal law that allow states to adopt daylight saving time as standard of time for all 12 months of calendar year. Repeals advancement to daylight saving time standard and restores standard time for entirety of calendar year as standard of time in portion of Oregon in Pacific Time Zone if required changes in federal law have not been enacted by December 1, 2033.
