Legislative Summary
The Act tells DPSST to let a person who is or was police do less training to be a private security worker. (Flesch Readability Score: 65.2). Directs the Department of Public Safety Standards and Training to adopt rules [providing that, if an applicant for certification as a private security professional is or was certified as a police officer, a refresher course and examination satisfies the training requirements for certification] establishing a procedure for recognition of prior law enforcement experience toward completion of required training for certification as a private security professional.
