Legislative Summary

Amend The South Carolina Code Of Laws By Adding Article 6 To Chapter 15, Title 63 So As To Enact The "uniform Child Abduction Prevention Act", To Provide A Legal Mechanism To Protect Children From Credible Risks Of Abduction Related To Legal Custody Or Visitation, And For Other Purposes; And By Amending Sections 63-7-2340, 63-7-2345, 63-7-2350, 63-13-50, 63-13-60, 63-13-190, 63-13-420, 63-13-430, 63-13-620, 63-13-630, 63-13-820, 63-13-830, 63-13-1010, And 63-11-70, Relating To Fingerprint Reviews And Background Check Requirements For Foster Parents, Adoptive Parents, Child Protective Service Workers, Other Child Welfare Employees And Volunteers, Group Childcare Homes, Family Chldcare Homes, And Religious Childcare Centers, Among Others, So As To Provide For Fingerprint-based Background Checks And For Other Purposes. - Ratified Title
