Legislative Summary

Amend The South Carolina Code Of Laws By Amending Section 59-101-40, Relating To The Service Of Student Body Presidents At Public Institutions Of Higher Learning As Ex Officio Members Of The Governing Boards Of The Institutions, So As To Make The Service Mandatory And To Provide The Student Body Presidents Only May Cast Advisory Votes Unless Qualifying As An Elector In This State; And To Make These Provisions Effective July 1, 2024.
