HB0434: AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 16, Chapter 15, Part 9; Title 36 and Title 39, Chapter 13, relative to orders of protection.
Legislative Summary
As enacted, permits service of ex parte orders of protection for up to one year from issuance; creates a lifetime order of protection that can be issued to a victim of certain felony offenses to prohibit the offender from coming about or communicating with the victim. - Amends TCA Title 16, Chapter 15, Part 9; Title 36 and Title 39, Chapter 13.
