HB2319: AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 39, Chapter 17, Part 4 and Title 40, relative to certain drug offenses.

Legislative Summary

As introduced, creates a rebuttable presumption that bail in the amount of at least $100,000 is necessary to reasonably assure the appearance of the defendant in court when the defendant is charged with the manufacture, delivery, or sale of a controlled substance or possession with intent to manufacture, deliver, or sell a controlled substance and the controlled substance involved is alleged to be fentanyl. - Amends TCA Title 39, Chapter 17, Part 4 and Title 40.
