SB0191: AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 49, relative to education.

Legislative Summary

As enacted, makes revisions to law relative to safety in school buildings, policies and procedures regarding grades, and the use of performance goals and measures for a public school or LEA; requires professional licenses issued by the state board of education to be valid for a period of no less than eight years; prohibits the department of education from requiring a school or LEA to submit the school's or LEA's school improvement plan to the department for approval more than once every three years. - Amends TCA Title 49.
