SB1177: AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 49, relative to education.
Legislative Summary
As enacted, requires, beginning with the 2026-2027 school year, each LEA and public charter school to have fifth grade students complete one semester of Tennessee history in the first semester of the students' fifth grade year. - Amends TCA Title 49.
