SB1348: AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 39, Chapter 16, Part 6, relative to evading arrest.
Legislative Summary
As introduced, increases the mandatory period of confinement for the felony offense of evading arrest from 30 days to 90 days; increases the mandatory period of confinement for the felony offense of evading arrest from 60 days to 120 days if the offense creates a risk of death or injury to innocent bystanders, pursuing law enforcement officers, or other third parties; removes unlawful attempted arrest as a defense to the felony offense of evading arrest. - Amends TCA Title 39, Chapter 16, Part 6.
