HB2262: AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 71, Chapter 4, relative to programs for persons with disabilities.

Legislative Summary

As enacted, adds services to the list of purchases that may be made for use in a business enterprise program for the blind without taking bids for the purchases, advertising bids for such purchases, or complying with other state law on purchasing on behalf of state government; changes from the director of services for the blind to the commissioner of human services or the commissioner's designee, the person authorized to make such purchases; designates the purchase of software for use in inmate commissary facilities as remaining subject to state procurement practices. - Amends TCA Title 71, Chapter 4.
