SB0336: AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 2 and Title 40, relative to voting rights.
Legislative Summary
As introduced, removes the permanent deprivation of the right of suffrage upon conviction of first degree murder, aggravated rape, treason, or voter fraud; removes the requirement that a person must have paid all court costs in order to be eligible for restoration of the right of suffrage; requires a person to be compliant with all current child support orders rather than current in all child support obligations in order to be eligible for restoration of the right of suffrage. - Amends TCA Title 2 and Title 40.
