Legislative Summary

Law-enforcement jurisdiction; Frederick County. Provides that the Frederick County Sheriff's Department shall have, concurrently with the City of Winchester Police Department, jurisdiction to arrest perpetrators of all offenses committed in or upon the premises, buildings, rooms, or offices of the Joint Judicial Center or any other building located in the City of Winchester that is owned or occupied by Frederick County. Current law provides such jurisdiction only at the Joint Judicial Center located in the City of Winchester.
