Legislative Summary
The purpose of this bill is to streamline the Voluntary Remediation and Redevelopment Act ("VRRA"). The updated VRRA provides new liability protections for persons and companies who wish to purchase and redevelop former industrial properties that are or may be contaminated by a historical use. Language has been added to the VRRA to further protect bona fide prospective purchasers and innocent landowners.
