HB5054: Relating to the licensure of birthing centers

Legislative Summary

The purpose of this bill is to modernize the birthing center statute by updating language to make the statute more consistent with nationally recognized best practices in the field and by making the administrative requirements and processes associated with birthing center licensure more streamlined and consistent with other facility types regulated by the Office of Health Facility and Certification.
