The purpose of this bill generally relates to government contracting. The bill provides for a bid validity period. The bill clarifies factors for considering when bids exceed budgeted amount. The bill enacts the Government Construction Management At-Risk Contracts Act. The bill provides for a short title. The bill defines terms. The bill authorizes the state and/or its subdivisions to engage in construction management at-risk contracts for projects greater than $5 million in total estimated cost. The bill requires the state and/or its subdivisions adopt policies and procedures for use in construction management at-risk contract.
