SB598: Permitting judges to refer parents to prosecuting attorney for making certain false allegations in child custody proceedings

Legislative Summary

The purpose of this bill is to permit judges to refer parents who knowingly makes a false accusation of child abuse or neglect or domestic violence during a child custody proceeding to the appropriate prosecuting authority to determine whether criminal charges are merited for falsely reporting an emergency incident.
